Located in the remote, northern British Columbia town of Mackenzie is the Mackenzie Community Arts Centre.

Run by the Mackenzie Community Arts Council, a non-profit organization, the arts centre is home for arts and cultural activities in our small town and has been a pillar in our community since 1974.

The Mackenzie Community Arts Centre is dedicated to promoting the arts in Mackenzie by creating financial and social opportunities that help make our community flourish.  Our Mission is to develop, support, and provide inclusive and accessible arts programming, and culturally rich activities for the community and surrounding area.

Our primary activities include facilitating various art classes for all ages and skill levels. We seek to nurture and celebrate all forms of art through continuous educational programs, exhibitions, and events. Our vision consists of building up the community through the arts by bringing people together to share experiences that inspire the creative exchange of ideas and improve quality of life.

Founded in 1974, the Mackenzie Community Arts Council, governed by a Board of Directors, is a non-profit organization that has become a pillar of this small, remote, northern town and surrounding communities.  MCAC is a member of the Mackenzie Chamber of Commerce, the Canadian Federation of Artists, and the British Columbia Arts Council.  Funding is based primarily on grants from local and provincial organizations.
